YANGAROO REGISTERS 2,000TH U.S. RADIO STATION

 Toronto, Canada

New York City’s WRXP 101.9 FM Now Able To Receive New Music Digitally for Broadcast Via DMDS

YANGAROO Inc., (TSX-V: YOO, OTCBB: YOOIF) the industry's leading secure digital media distribution company, has registered the 2,000th radio station in the United States to use the company’s Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS). Emmis Broadcasting’s TripleA station WRXP 101.9 FM in New York City can now receive broadcast-quality music digitally and securely from artists and record labels via DMDS.

YANGAROO’s DMDS is a web-based delivery system that replaces the physical distribution of promotional music. Major record labels, independent aggregators, independent labels and artists using DMDS can send broadcast-quality music and promotional materials digitally and securely to radio stations throughout North America. Music sent using DMDS is protected from piracy by means of biometrics, encryption, and watermarking.

In 2007, YANGAROO’s DMDS made 1.3 million deliveries in the U.S., primarily to radio stations representing over 35 U.S. broadcast chains. Major label artists hit songs delivered to U.S. radio in the past 60 days have included Disturbed (Warner Brothers), Miley Cyrus (Hollywood), The Offspring (Columbia), Alanis Morrissette (Reprise), Scarlett Johansson (Atco/Rhino), David Cook, American Idol (RCA), Neil Diamond (Columbia), Mudcrutch (Reprise), American Idol RECAPs (Capitol), Jesse McCartney (Hollywood), and Frank Sinatra (Reprise). DMDS registration at BDS and MediaBase monitored stations continues to grow with major formats such as Active Rock, Alternative, and Modern Rock over 90% penetration.

“I chose DMDS to receive CD-quality tracks because it's fast and convenient,” said Bryan Schock, Music Director/Afternoon Drive Air Talent, WRXP/New York. “Now where did I leave that ‘My Morning Jacket’ CD?”

“DMDS will save WRXP’s staff valuable time while helping the station protect the environment, eliminating the need to sort, open, and review promotional CDs shipped to the station by record labels,” said John Heaven, President & CEO of YANGAROO. “Digital delivery will also provide streamlined digital ingestion of both music and metadata into the station’s radio automation systems.”
