Toronto, Canada
Universal Music Canada released the long awaited single "Eat You Alive" by multi-platinum recording artist Limp Bizkit to Rock Radio across Canada on Thursday Aug.7th via the Internet using Musicrypt's Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS).
DMDS has been installed and is being tested at Universal Music Canada's head office and at branch offices across the country for the secure internal distribution of digital music files. Universal Music Group is the world's leading music company and is a unit of Vivendi Universal, a global media and communications company.
Jeremy Summers, National Promotion Manager, Universal Music Canada had this to say:
"In America, the new Single from Limp Bizkit leaked on Wednesday, and we only had one watermarked copy in Canada, the DMDS system made it easy for us to ensure that no station in Canada would be usurped by border-market play. We serviced "Eat You Alive" Thursday Morning, and had Adds from two Modern Rock Stations by the end of the day... No Rush CD Burns, No Couriers, No Complaints"
