Automate resource intensive tasks

Through partnerships with leading developers of music scheduling software, when you download a file from DMDS, you also automatically download all of the metadata as well. This variable metadata — track title, artist, genre, copyright, producer, etc. — seamlessly synchronizes with your radio automation system. This saves time and reduces manual errors associated with having to retype metadata. Music libraries can be updated with new releases quickly and accurately.

• YANGAROO has partnered with OMT Inc., to integrate DMDS with OMT’s iMediaTouch Radio Automation Software. As a result, iMediaTouch users at over 1,500 radio stations throughout the US can import new music available through DMDS directly into their iMediaTouch music library. New music is imported with cart chunk track information and album artwork using the iMediaImport module.
• YANGAROO has partnered with A-Ware Software, Inc. to integrate DMDS with A-Ware’s MusicMaster Scheduling software. Now the more than 2,800 MusicMaster Scheduling software users at radio stations worldwide can import new music available through DMDS directly into their music library. The new music imported from DMDS also includes the related track information.

Automate preferences

DMDS also lets you automate preferences as part of workflow integration. Maybe whenever you download an MPEG2 file, you want DMDS to automatically convert it to an FLV so you can watch it on your iPOD. Or maybe you want WAV files to be automatically converted to MP3 and put in your iTunes. Maybe you want all PDFs stored on your network drive. Easily customizable, DMDS will put your tracks wherever it’s most convenient for you.

Find tracks faster

DMDS provides enhanced details and data for searching and filtering new tracks. Filter your searches based on things like: Similar Artists, Other Tracks by This Artist, and an Advanced Search that includes highly defined filters like “all tracks released in Ontario over the past year.”

Easy integration with third party software

YANGAROO provides a software development kit (SDK) and application programming interface (API) to fully integrate DMDS with your Digital Asset or Content Management System (CMS). The SDK/API enables you to build DMDS right into your custom workflow — or work with one of the many broadcast software partners (automation and scheduling) that DMDS already supports.
