A TRACK RECORD OF SUCCESS

YANGAROO® “officially” came to life in 1999 when it was incorporated as “Musicrypt.com” The founders, deeply entrenched in the music industry, had a clear understanding of specific challenges facing record labels and broadcasters in the distribution of digital music files. The Internet was making it possible to distribute music from point A to point B; however, Musicrypt would provide the genius to make the transmission secure, rapid, and cost effective.

We started out by researching existing methods of distributing media via the Internet in a secure manner. We saw that passwords alone weren’t secure enough, because users tended to share passwords to access entertainment media. While IP address lockdown technologies provided greater security, it wasn’t user-friendly and, with the growth of broadband and dynamic IP addressing, it was more difficult to implement. The advent of machine lockdown technologies (using the user’s computer/hard drive serial numbers as keys) highlighted users’ dissatisfaction with having media tied to one computer. So, existing methods of distribution media, now known as digital rights management (DRM), wasn’t going to cut it.

Musicrypt developed its own unique approach to security. We combined biometrics with encryption and web-based distribution. This provided a solution that links media access rights directly to the designated individual, enabling verification of such individuals from any computer and thereby enabling secure, portable, and user-friendly access. Musicrypt called this model Biometric Rights Management (BRM). Musicrypt Inc. (TSX-V: MCT, OTCBB: MCYPF), the industry's leading secure digital music distribution company, is pleased to announce that it has secured allowance of its US Patent No. 7,003,670 entitled "Biometric Rights Management System". With this, we were able to productize our solution for the entertainment and media industry — we called our web-based system Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS). Content owners and destinations quickly adopted the easy to use, highly secure system to send and receive sensitive and large digital media from point A to point B.

DMDS has received overwhelmingly positive responses from the entertainment and media industry. In 2007, as a result of increasing demand for our web-based delivery system by professionals above and beyond the music industry, we changed our name to YANGAROO Inc. Re-branding is enabling our high potential company to market our solutions to virtually any industry around the world.

We have a history that demonstrates proven solutions, high adoption rates, and constant innovation through in-house development work as well as partnering with best-in-class software partners, service partners, media partners, and technology partners to deliver features needed by our clients.
